Service Description

This session takes place after the birth of your baby. It will be customized to meet your needs. A personalized folder with educational documents will be provided. Service options include: 1) Lactation services: Proper positioning, latch-on technique, assessment of latch, correction of improper latch, education regarding prevention and treatment of sore nipples, plugged ducts and mastitis, management of oversupply and, conversely, strategies to increase supply & implementation of breastfeeding interventions as needed (i.e. breast shells, breast pump, nipple shield, etc.). Includes a documented comprehensive feeding assessment. 2) Weighing baby: Weight checks and pre/post-feed baby weights (to determine breastmilk intake) 3) Breast pump services: Setup, instruction and and sanitization of pump parts & bottles 4) Guidelines regarding storage and preparation of pumped of breast milk 5) Bottle-feeding services: When and how to introduce a bottle to your baby, feeding and pumping frequency, education regarding different bottle types currently available on the market, sample bottles to assess before purchasing bottle-feeding systems. 6) Baby care education 7) Baby care services: Assistance with swaddling, bathing, diapering, burping, gas relief techniques, umbilical cord & circumcision care, identifying signs & symptoms of infection, sleep advice, infant safety, soothing, etc. and any additional care that you would like provided. 8) Any particular topic(s) that you would like to discuss... this is your session! If there are topics or care services that you would like provided we will focus on these areas. This session can be utilized solely for lactation services if preferred. Cancellation Policy

RESCHEDULING If you need to reschedule your session please provide at least 48 hours notice. I understand that things may come up! I have two young children that I need to arrange care for and I kindly ask that scheduling changes be made in advance. Thank you for understanding! CANCELATIONS Please make cancelations at least 48 hours in advance. A $50 fee will be billed for cancelations made less than 48 hours in advance. PAYMENT South Bay Baby Care accepts payment via cash, personal check, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Payment in full is due at the time that services are rendered. INSURANCE & REIMBURSEMENT South Bay Baby Care is not in-network with any insurance companies. It is possible that your insurance company may reimburse for services rendered by South Bay Baby Care but this is not guaranteed. Any questions related to insurance coverage and/or reimbursement should be directed to your insurance provider. A superbill will be provided upon request and you can submit it to your insurance company or HSA (Health Savings Account) as per their policy. I am happy to sign any pre-approval forms that may be required by your insurance carrier or policy. Payment in full is due at the time that services are rendered. LOCATIONS AND TRAVEL FEE South Bay Baby Care travels to cities within the South Bay. A travel fee may apply for locations outside of the South Bay.
